Supply Teacher – Flexible School Placements

About the role

Spencer Clarke Group is seeking enthusiastic Primary and Secondary Supply Teachers to cover a range of schools across Darlington and surrounding towns from September 2026. This flexible, short‑term role allows you to choose when and where you work while gaining valuable classroom experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and lesson plans.
• Maintain a positive, productive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings and follow each school’s policies.
• Build constructive relationships with pupils, staff and school leadership.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong classroom management and organisational abilities.
• Professional, flexible attitude with a passion for high‑quality education.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.

Required skills

• Effective lesson planning and delivery.
• Clear communication with pupils and staff.
• Ability to adapt teaching style to varied school contexts.
