Supply Teacher for Primary Schools in Rochester

About the role

Hays Education is partnering with a range of primary schools in Rochester to find enthusiastic supply teachers for Key Stages 1 and 2. This flexible, short‑term role allows you to step into classrooms on a day‑to‑day or short‑term basis, ensuring continuity of learning when the regular teacher is absent.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons for pupils in Years 1‑4.
• Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings, year groups, and teaching resources.
• Collaborate with school staff to support pupil wellbeing.

Required profile

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be working towards it.
• Experience teaching in a primary education setting.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Professional, reliable, and enthusiastic approach to each assignment.
