Supply Teacher

About the role

Reed Education, in partnership with Lancashire County Council, is seeking supply teachers for primary and secondary schools in the Preston area. The role can be part‑time or full‑time, with a minimum commitment of two days per week and the ability to travel locally.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lessons in line with the National Curriculum across EYFS to Key Stage 5.
• Provide cover for absent teachers in primary, secondary or SEN settings.
• Maintain high standards of communication, spelling and grammar in all classroom materials.
• Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure the welfare of pupils.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Recent experience in primary, secondary or SEN schools.
• Knowledge of the National Curriculum and experience in at least one key stage (EYFS, KS1‑5).
• Commitment to professional development and a passion for working with children.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding.
