Supply Teacher – Key Stage 2 – Tonbridge

About the role

Hays Education is partnering with several primary schools in Tonbridge to find enthusiastic Key Stage 2 (KS2) teachers for supply and long‑term assignments. The role involves delivering high‑quality lessons to pupils aged 7‑11, supporting their academic and personal development in a supportive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons for KS2 subjects.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes confidence and resilience.
• Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain effective classroom and behaviour management.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support each child’s learning journey.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
• Strong commitment to high expectations for all learners.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
• Professionalism, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for teaching.

Required skills

• Effective classroom and behaviour management.
• Lesson planning and delivery for primary education.
• Assessment and feedback techniques.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
