Supply Teacher – Primary (Honiton & East Devon)

About the role

Hays Education is seeking enthusiastic Primary Supply Teachers to cover short‑term and long‑term needs across Honiton and surrounding East Devon schools. The role offers flexible full‑time or part‑time assignments, allowing you to fit teaching around your personal schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils.
• Follow each school’s policies and uphold high expectations for behaviour and learning.
• Adapt quickly to new classroom environments and varying timetables.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the United Kingdom.
• Experience teaching in a primary school setting.
• Strong classroom management abilities.
• Flexible and professional approach to varied assignments.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Hays.
