Supply Teacher – Primary Schools in East London

About the role

TeacherActive is seeking enthusiastic supply teachers to support primary schools across East London. You will step into classrooms on short‑term or longer‑term assignments, delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum‑aligned lessons in line with school policies.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe, supportive atmosphere.
• Build quick, positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Adapt teaching approaches to suit diverse school settings and student needs.
• Provide accurate end‑of‑day reports and feedback to school leadership.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Experience in a UK primary school, or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) eager for classroom exposure.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
• Willingness to hold an Enhanced DBS or register on the Update Service.
