Supply Teacher – Reception (EYFS) – Tunbridge Wells

About the role

Hays Education is seeking enthusiastic Reception teachers to join primary schools in Tunbridge Wells. The role involves delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum to children aged 4‑5, creating a safe and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity and confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver child‑centred EYFS lessons that promote academic, social and emotional development.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom atmosphere.
• Assess and monitor each pupil’s progress, providing tailored support where needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and school leadership to support children’s learning journeys.
• Adapt resources and teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS.
• Experience teaching within the EYFS or Reception setting.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and its statutory requirements.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
• Enthusiastic, creative and nurturing approach to early years education.
