About the role

Hays Education is recruiting qualified secondary teachers for flexible supply assignments across a range of secondary schools in Bury and Bolton, starting September 2026. The role offers day‑to‑day, short‑term and long‑term placements for teachers of any subject specialism.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings and subject areas.
• Support pupils to achieve their full potential.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Recent experience teaching in UK secondary schools.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Flexible and professional approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
