About the role
Schools in Shoreham‑by‑Sea and surrounding areas are seeking secondary supply teachers who can step into classrooms on short notice. You will deliver pre‑planned lessons, maintain a positive learning environment and support pupils while the regular teacher is absent. The role offers flexibility to choose when and where you work.
Key responsibilities
- Enter secondary classrooms across a range of schools as a supply teacher
- Deliver pre‑planned curriculum and adapt lessons as needed
- Maintain classroom discipline and a safe learning atmosphere
- Provide feedback to the regular teacher on pupil progress
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (desirable)
- Experience teaching in secondary education
- Strong classroom management and communication abilities
- Proactive, flexible approach to varied assignments
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
