Supply Teacher (Various Subjects)

About the role

Reed Education is seeking enthusiastic, qualified teachers to provide supply cover for schools across Sussex during the 2023‑2024 academic year. The role can be day‑to‑day or long‑term, allowing you to work in a variety of settings while gaining valuable experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality teaching across a range of subjects, including Maths, English, Science, Humanities, PE and Modern Foreign Languages.
• Provide short‑term or extended cover in multiple schools, adapting quickly to different environments.
• Maintain positive classroom behaviour and uphold school policies.
• Communicate effectively with class teachers and senior leadership teams as required.

Required profile

• Qualified teaching status (or equivalent).
• Current DBS check on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
• Flexibility to work in various schools and an open‑minded approach to daily teaching challenges.

Required skills

• Strong behaviour management techniques.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with staff, students and leadership.
• Ability to teach your subject confidently and cover other classes when needed.
