Supply Teaching Assistant – Bolton Schools

About the role

We are looking for flexible supply teaching assistants to support schools across Bolton starting September 2026. The role involves providing classroom assistance, supporting teachers and helping pupils achieve their learning goals on a day‑to‑day basis.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers with lesson preparation and delivery.
• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to pupils as needed.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Help with administrative tasks such as marking and record keeping.
• Adapt to different school settings and age groups on short notice.

Required profile

• Minimum Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification.
• At least six months of experience in a school setting (paid or voluntary).
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Willingness to attend a registration interview and undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Required skills

• Ability to follow safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with teachers, pupils and staff.
