Supply Teaching Assistant – Flexible Roles Across East Lancashire

About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistants to support primary schools throughout East Lancashire from September 2026. The role offers flexible, short‑term or long‑term placements, allowing you to gain valuable classroom experience in EYFS, KS1 and KS2 settings.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day supply cover and short‑term assignments in a variety of primary schools.
- Deliver general classroom support and one‑to‑one assistance to pupils.
- Support SEN students and contribute to inclusive learning environments.
- Adapt quickly to different school routines and maintain professional standards.
Required profile
- Previous experience working with children in a school or comparable setting.
- Adaptable, reliable and professional attitude.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Availability for flexible or longer‑term assignments.
Required skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organisational ability to manage varied classroom tasks.
- Basic understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
