About the role
Academics is seeking Supply Teaching Assistants to provide flexible, on‑site support in mainstream and specialist SEN schools across Dunstable. This role is ideal for individuals who want to fit work around their lifestyle while making a tangible difference to pupils' learning and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
- Provide support for children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and moderate learning difficulties.
- Promote positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing.
- Adapt quickly to different school environments while maintaining consistent support.
Required profile
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Care Worker, Nursery Practitioner or Support Worker is desirable.
- Positive, reliable and flexible attitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
