Support Driver

About the role

Network Plus is looking for a reliable Support Driver to operate a drop‑side van, delivering and collecting materials at construction sites across Kendal. You will work closely with operational teams, ensuring safe transport of equipment, barriers, cones and fittings, and performing jet washes as required.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and operate a drop‑side van safely, including towing plant where needed.
• Load, deliver, and collect materials to and from local depots, suppliers and builders’ merchants.
• Carry out site set‑up, clearance and emergency support during unsociable hours.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, security and proper care of equipment.
• Complete all required documentation and report safety issues in line with company procedures.
• Use the GARD smartphone system to provide commercial feedback and manage reinstatement information.
• Liaise with Support Services and Street Works teams to address FPN and Section 74 liabilities.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence and full towing licence.
• Valid NRSWA Unit 2 certification.
• Ability to lift and carry weights up to 25 kg safely.
• Good knowledge of site safety and public welfare requirements.
