Support Manager – Person‑Centred Care

About the role

Thera Trust is seeking a proactive Support Manager to lead and coach teams delivering person‑centred support for individuals with learning disabilities. Based in Bury, you will ensure that people we support enjoy choice, independence and a high quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership, management and performance oversight for multiple support teams within a defined area.
• Maintain an inclusive, transparent culture while ensuring compliance with regulatory, contractual and organisational standards.
• Build trusted relationships with service users, families, local authorities, central Trust teams and healthcare professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
• Drive team development, growth and continuous improvement in service delivery.
• Oversee safeguarding, health and safety, and care regulation adherence.

Required profile

• Level 4 Health & Social Care qualification (or SCQF Level 9) or willingness to attain it.
• Proven experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
• Experience leading teams and managing service delivery in a regulated care setting.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and care regulations.
• Strong communication, leadership and decision‑making abilities.
• Driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using care‑planning software and other digital systems.
