Support Services Supervisor – Hotel Services

About the role

The Support Services Supervisor – Hotel Services will lead the Integrated Services team at Easterhouse Health Centre, ensuring high‑quality cleaning, catering, porter and personal clothing services for patients and staff. This part‑time, permanent role reports to the line manager and contributes to the overall delivery of safe, efficient, and compliant support services within the NHS.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and assist staff across all integrated services, ensuring schedules and safe work practices are followed.
• Maintain high standards of personal and general food hygiene throughout the department.
• Report faults, manage equipment use, and ensure compliance with health, safety, COSHH and lifting‑and‑handling procedures.
• Provide coaching, performance counselling and documentation for staff.
• Organise rotas, arrange cover for absences and support the personal development process (PDP).
• Handle client complaints at first point of contact and ensure timely resolution.
• Conduct team briefs, complete required paperwork within prescribed timescales and follow statutory and divisional procedures.
• Deliver induction and ongoing work‑based training, maintain stock levels and support payroll compilation.

Required profile

• Knowledge of integrated service functions (cleaning, catering, porter services) – induction training provided.
• Training in the use of relevant machinery – provided.
• Understanding of Health and Safety, COSHH and Lifting and Handling regulations – training provided.
• Basic Food Hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain).
