Support Worker – Adult Care (Flexible Hours)

About the role

We are recruiting Support Workers to join a specialist residential care home in Chorley, providing person‑centred support to adults under 65 with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, mental health needs and dementia. The role offers flexible shift patterns and the chance to make a genuine difference to residents' daily lives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, person‑centred support.
• Assist with personal care and daily living tasks.
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
• Support residents with activities and community engagement.
• Follow care plans and risk assessments.
• Build positive relationships with residents and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate records and report concerns appropriately.
• Help create a safe, welcoming environment.

Required profile

• Caring, patient, and reliable approach.
• Previous care experience desirable but not essential.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends.
• Willingness to provide personal care support.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care desirable.
• Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS check.
