Support Worker – Adult Care (Margate, Kent)

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Support Worker to assist adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, complex needs and mobility issues in the Margate area. You will help individuals engage with daily living activities, community outings and social interactions, working flexible early, late and sleep‑in shifts across the week.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day living activities and promote independence.
• Facilitate community engagement and social activities, including visits with family and friends.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene and mobility support.
• Manage and support the budgeting and financial tasks of service users.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment and undertake shopping trips.
• Provide encouragement and support for participation in community and recreational events.

Required profile

• Willingness to work flexible early, late and sleep‑in shifts, seven days a week.
• Compassionate and patient attitude towards adults with diverse needs.
• Valid UK driving licence is desirable to enable community access.
• No prior social‑care experience required – full training will be provided.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a residential setting.
