Support Worker – Adult Care (Queensbury)

About the role

Turning Point is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to provide daily assistance to adults with learning disabilities living together in Queensbury. The role involves delivering personal care, supporting independence, and ensuring a safe, engaging environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, including hygiene and dressing.
• Prepare and serve meals, encouraging involvement when desired.
• Support with medication administration, including creams and lotions.
• Maintain accurate record‑keeping, including finance and audit‑related documents.
• Help manage money safely and assist with budgeting.
• Keep the home clean, tidy, and safe.
• Liaise with landlords on tenancy issues and repairs.
• Promote varied, stimulating daily activities for residents.

Required profile

• Passionate, caring, and enthusiastic about supporting people with learning disabilities.
• Flexible, patient, and non‑judgemental.
• Team‑player with high energy levels.
• Valid driver’s licence (must be able to drive).
• Willingness to work flexible shift patterns, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
