Support Worker – Care Assistant (Full‑time)

About the role

Join Voyage Care as a Support Worker on a 35‑hour week at our Calvert House residential service in Leyland. You will help adults with acquired brain injuries live more independently while enjoying a varied, hands‑on day‑to‑day experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care, daily living tasks and community outings.
• Teach and reinforce life‑skills such as cooking, budgeting and social interaction.
• Support participation in leisure activities, from cinema visits to video‑gaming sessions.
• Follow Positive Behaviour Support plans and document observations.
• Provide flexible coverage for evening, night and weekend shifts, including sleep‑ins when required.

Required profile

• Resilient, flexible and composed when supporting people with complex needs.
• Willingness to complete a two‑week training programme.
• Experience (or strong interest) in working with individuals who have acquired brain injuries.
• Ability to work within a team and follow care plans.

Required skills

• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans.
• Reflective practice in a care setting.
