Support Worker – Community Support (Part‑time)

About the role

Riverside Group is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to join the Victoria Project in Cambridge. Working part‑time on a rotating shift pattern, you will help vulnerable customers rebuild their lives by providing practical assistance and emotional encouragement.

Key responsibilities

• Connect customers with employability coaches, support agencies and benefit services.
• Assist with money management, benefit sign‑ups and transition to permanent housing.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and support provided.
• Work flexible hours, including early and late shifts and every other weekend, following a four‑week rolling rota.

Required profile

• Experience working with vulnerable individuals and delivering structured support.
• Ability to manage risk and maintain confidentiality.
• Team‑oriented, caring, empathetic and resilient attitude.
• Understanding of homelessness, addiction or related lived experience is valued.
• Willingness to work flexible, sometimes lone, hours to meet client needs.
