Support Worker – Complex Care (Shoreham-by-Sea)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide 24‑hour care for an adult client with an acquired brain injury living in a fully adapted house in Shoreham‑by‑Sea. The role involves helping the client maintain an active, independent lifestyle while ensuring safety and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personal care, including assistance with dressing, bathing and toileting.
• Administer medication safely and according to prescribed schedules.
• Support the client in community outings, gym sessions, swimming and other recreational activities.
• Maintain accurate care records and communicate any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
• Provide companionship and encourage participation in hobbies such as film, music and fitness.

Required profile

• Valid UK driving licence (automatic or manual).
• Experience working with complex conditions and challenging behaviours, particularly acquired brain injury or cerebral palsy.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Physically fit to assist with gym and swimming activities.
