Support Worker for Young Adults with Learning Disabilities

About the role

We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Support Workers for young adults with severe and profound learning difficulties and complex health needs. The role is based in Meldreth, on the Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border, and offers a supportive environment focused on promoting independence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care including toileting, dressing and maintaining personal appearance.
• Assist with medical needs and support participation in therapies such as hydrotherapy and rebound therapy.
• Facilitate activities in sensory gardens, skills centre, forestry school and creative spaces.
• Encourage independence by supporting shopping trips, enterprise projects and community outings.
• Work a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend.

Required profile

• Willingness to learn and go the extra mile.
• Strong communication, patience and resilience.
• Creative problem‑solving to meet individual needs.
• Ability to work on a rota pattern, including weekend shifts.
• Valid driving licence and own car.
