Support Worker – Full‑time, Hedge End

About the role

Join Voyage Care as a Support Worker in Hedge End, helping individuals achieve greater independence and enjoy a richer daily life. You will work within a dynamic team, providing personal care, teaching life‑skills and facilitating community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Assist service users with personal care and daily living tasks.
• Teach and reinforce new life‑skills such as cooking, budgeting and self‑care.
• Encourage participation in local community activities, outings and social events.
• Support recreational activities including games, film sessions and outings to pubs or cinemas.
• Follow Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans and respond to challenging behaviours.
• Drive service users as required, holding a full UK driving licence.
• Work scheduled shifts (7:30‑15:30 or 15:00‑22:00) on a rota that includes weekends.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence.
• Resilient, flexible and composed under pressure.
• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
• Background supporting individuals with mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories, trauma or other enhanced support needs.
