About the role
We are seeking a passionate Support Worker / Group Facilitator to join our Men’s Residential Service in Stroud. The role involves delivering trauma‑informed addiction treatment, facilitating therapeutic groups and providing practical, person‑centred support to help clients achieve sustainable recovery.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, high‑quality group interventions that support clients’ recovery journeys.
- Provide compassionate assistance with housing, benefits, health and wellbeing.
- Encourage and motivate clients to fully engage in their treatment programme.
- Contribute to care planning, regularly review client progress and needs.
- Safely administer and support prescription medication and manage stock.
- Prepare for and support new admissions, creating a welcoming environment.
- Collaborate with external agencies to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain clear and accurate records to support high‑quality service delivery.
Required profile
- Experience or knowledge of working in addiction, residential or support settings.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to transport clients.
- Understanding of safeguarding and experience working within CQC‑regulated environments.
- Calm, resilient approach with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Genuine passion for recovery‑focused, person‑centred support.
Required skills
- Administration of prescription medication and stock taking (training provided).
- Strong communication and organisational abilities.
