Support Worker – Hospital (Billingham)

About the role

As a Support Worker in a Barchester independent mental health hospital, you will use your intuition and empathy to help patients get the most out of life. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will support individuals with complex and sometimes challenging behaviours, ensuring they feel safe, respected and as independent as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support to patients, promoting dignity and respect.
• Assist in creating a safe environment that encourages patient independence.
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and other professionals to deliver holistic care.
• Respond to challenging behaviours with calm and appropriate interventions.
