Support Worker – Independent Supported Living Service

About the role

We are seeking calm, resourceful and energetic individuals to join our team at Swanway, an independent Supported Living Service in Gateshead. You will support adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and physical disabilities, helping them enjoy activities such as discos, swimming and cinema outings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care to service users.
• Work shifts that include evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Administer medication safely.
• Carry out general administrative duties and housing management tasks.

Required profile

• Motivated, hardworking and passionate about person‑centred care.
• Excellent positive communication and engagement skills.
• Ability to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for the people supported.
• No prior care experience required – a creative, engaging approach is valued.
