Support Worker – Learning Disabilities

About the role
Southdown is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to help adults with learning disabilities live independently and enjoy a full, happy life. You will be based at the Windebanks supported living service in Chichester, encouraging clients to engage with their community and supporting daily living tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care, cooking, cleaning and other daily activities.
- Promote community participation through outings such as walks, cinema visits, shopping trips and café stops.
- Support clients in building confidence, choice, control and independence.
- Provide night‑time coverage with unsociable hour uplift and sleep‑in shift allowances as required.
- Collaborate with the wider team and may be asked to work at other Southdown locations when needed.
Required profile
- Genuine passion for supporting people with learning disabilities.
- Adaptable, reliable and able to work flexible hours (24‑30 hrs/week).
- Willingness to undergo full training; prior experience as a Health Care Assistant, Support Worker, Nurse or Mental Health Care Worker is welcomed but not essential.
