About the role
The Support Worker role is based at Riverside's Jamaica Street Project in Bristol, providing essential assistance to vulnerable customers. Working on a rolling rota, you will help individuals access employability coaching, manage finances, secure benefits and move towards stable housing.
Key responsibilities
- Connect customers with employability coaches and external support agencies.
- Assist clients in managing money, applying for benefits and finding permanent accommodation.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and support provided.
- Deliver structured support and risk‑management interventions.
- Work flexibly, including occasional lone working and weekend shifts.
Required profile
- Experience working with vulnerable people.
- Background in delivering structured support and risk management.
- Empathetic, resilient and able to separate work from personal life.
- Understanding of homelessness, addiction or related lived experience is valued.
- Willingness to work flexible, non‑standard hours.
Required skills
- Record‑keeping and basic administrative abilities.
