Support Worker – Part‑time (Burgess Hill)

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Support Worker to join a small, friendly team caring for a 37‑year‑old man living independently after an acquired brain injury. This permanent, part‑time position offers 2–3 eleven‑hour shifts per week, typically between 10:30 am and 9:30 pm, with occasional overtime to cover leave.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with daily living tasks such as meal planning, cooking, and shopping.
• Support scheduling, attending appointments, and coordinating with healthcare professionals.
• Encourage participation in social, leisure, community, and volunteering activities.
• Promote physical activity, personal training sessions, and a structured routine.
• Provide guidance that fosters independence, confidence, and skill development.

Required profile

• Reliable, patient, and motivated to support others.
• Good organisational and communication abilities.
• Ability to follow structured support plans.
• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
