Support Worker – Person‑Centred Care

About the role

Corus Consultancy is seeking compassionate Support Workers to deliver person‑centred care to individuals with autism, learning disabilities, mental health conditions and complex needs across the North East of England. You will work one‑to‑one and in groups, helping people build independence, confidence and community access.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct support to service users, encouraging independence and personal goal achievement.
• Assist with daily living tasks, including moving and handling, and medication administration.
• Support individuals in group activities and community outings.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months UK experience as a Support Worker.
• Experience supporting people with autism, learning disabilities, mental health conditions or complex needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive, proactive attitude and commitment to person‑centred care.

Required skills

• Up‑to‑date mandatory training: Moving and Handling, Medication Administration.
• Valid Enhanced DBS (renewed annually) and Right‑to‑Work documentation.
• Ability to provide professional references covering the last three years.
