Support Worker – Residential Care (Darlington)

About the role

Join Cygnet’s Hollyhurst residential service in Darlington as a Support Worker, providing 24‑hour care for adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex behaviours. You will work a 42‑hour week on a rolling rota, covering day and night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver physical and emotional support to residents, tailoring assistance to individual needs.
• Assist with medical and welfare requirements, including medication administration and health monitoring.
• Maintain accurate records and report on residents’ health and wellbeing.
• Safeguard residents by ensuring a clean, safe environment and adhering to CQC standards.
• Participate in activity planning to achieve at least 25 hours of engagement per week.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills and a caring, compassionate attitude.
• Reliability and flexibility to work alternating weekends and night shifts.
