Support Worker – Residential Care for Learning Disabilities

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Support Worker to join our 24‑hour residential care home, Sybden, in Hemel Hempstead. You will help adults with learning disabilities live as independently as possible while providing a safe, caring environment.

Key responsibilities

• Promote independence and develop life‑skills for residents.
• Assist with daily activities such as cleaning, cooking, personal care and medication administration.
• Organise outings, holidays and community activities.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met and maintain accurate records.
• Perform manual handling tasks safely and support residents during sleep‑ins or night shifts.

• Good communication skills.
• Ability to handle physical aspects of the role, including manual handling.
