Support Worker – Residential Care (Full‑time)

About the role

We are seeking compassionate Support Workers to join our residential care service in Wiveliscombe. You will help individuals with learning disabilities and complex care needs live more independently while enjoying a vibrant, rural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support daily activities.
• Encourage and facilitate community access, social interaction and recreational activities.
• Implement Positive Behaviour Support plans and respond to behaviours of distress.
• Support individuals with mental health conditions, autism, trauma histories and other complex needs.
• Work three 12‑hour shifts per week, including alternate weekends.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence.
• Resilient, flexible and composed under pressure.
• Experience following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
• Background working with individuals requiring enhanced support (behavioural distress, mental health, autism, trauma).

Required skills

• Ability to deliver personal care safely.
• Competence in implementing behaviour support strategies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
