Support Worker – Scottish Isles

About the role

We are looking for compassionate Support Workers to join Randstad Care on placements across the Scottish Isles – including the Western Isles, Argyll & Bute, Orkney and Shetland. You will provide essential care and assistance to individuals living in their own homes, residential care homes or supported‑living settings while enjoying the unique coastal environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personal care, including bathing, dressing and toileting, in accordance with each client’s care plan.
• Assist with mobility and safe moving & handling techniques.
• Administer medication as prescribed and record accurately.
• Support daily living activities such as meal preparation, housekeeping and social engagement.
• Maintain clear and up‑to‑date documentation and communicate any changes to the care team.

Required profile

• At least 12 months experience as a Support Worker in the UK.
• Valid UK driving licence and own vehicle for island travel.
• Willingness to commit to a minimum three‑month placement.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £19‑£26 depending on experience and location.
• Full‑time hours ranging from 45 to 70+ per week.
