Support Worker / SEN Specialist Nanny (Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Support Worker / SEN Specialist Nanny to provide dedicated care for a 6‑year‑old boy with cerebral palsy and additional needs in St Neots. The role is part‑time and involves supporting the child’s daily living, health and leisure activities within the family home.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personal care, including toileting and dressing.
• Prepare and assist with meals, ensuring nutritional requirements are met.
• Administer medication and support any medical routines as directed.
• Plan and engage in leisure and therapeutic activities tailored to the child’s abilities.
• Transport the child to appointments or activities using your own vehicle.
• Maintain accurate records of care and communicate with the family and professionals.

Required profile

• Previous experience in child support, specialist nanny, teaching assistant or paediatric healthcare assistant roles.
• Full clean driving licence and access to a private vehicle.
• Female candidate (genuine occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010).
• Two excellent references and willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

• Hourly rate of £17 for weekday day shifts and £19 for weekend day shifts.
