Support Worker – Special Needs School

About the role

We are looking for a Support Worker to join a special‑needs school in Kingston upon Thames. You will help pupils with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs to engage fully in classroom activities and community life during term‑time, Monday to Thursday.

Key responsibilities

• Assist pupils with daily living activities, both in the classroom and in community settings.
• Encourage participation in lessons, social activities and outings.
• Support pupils in developing independence and building relationships with family and friends.
• Work as part of a class team, providing one‑to‑one and group support.
• Follow safeguarding and health‑and‑safety procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Ability to commute to Kingston upon Thames easily.
• Availability to work Monday‑Thursday, term‑time only.
• Positive attitude and willingness to undergo accredited training.
• Experience with special‑needs pupils is preferred but not essential.

Required skills

• No specific technical skills required.
