Surfacing Gang & Foreperson – Oxfordshire

About the role

Breedon Surfacing Solutions is seeking a Foreperson to lead a surfacing gang operating across Oxfordshire. The role involves coordinating a team of operatives and ensuring high‑quality asphalt works on highways, infrastructure and development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out work according to instructions from the Foreperson and ensure tasks are completed to specification.
• Maintain all plant and equipment safely and in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Ensure personal protective equipment is kept in good condition.
• Support less experienced operatives and promote professional working practices.
• Comply with company rules, procedures and health & safety commitments.
• Report accidents, incidents, near‑misses and any concerns.
• Deliver work that meets the quality requirements of the project specification.

Required profile

• Previous experience in asphalt surfacing.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Full driving licence.
• For Paver, Roller and Tractor drivers – MPQC/CPCS tickets for the relevant plant.
