Surveyor / Contracts Manager – Home‑Based (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a Surveyor / Contracts Manager to work from home (with occasional office support) covering a defined patch of domestic and commercial properties. The role involves managing insurance reinstatement projects and delivering high‑quality repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee a small portfolio of property reinstatement projects (domestic & commercial).
• Survey properties, produce detailed scopes of works and schedule required repairs.
• Manage repair projects through to completion, including cost control.
• Ensure Health & Safety and CDM compliance; carry out site audits.
• Manage existing trades/sub‑contractors and identify new ones as needed.
• Audit ongoing works and trades throughout each project.

Required profile

• Experience in surveying and contract managing property repairs, refurbishments or renovations.
• Knowledge of insurance claims (fire, flood, water, structural damage).
• Good understanding of CDM, Asbestos, Health & Safety and the Party Wall Act.
• Strong customer service, communication and organisational abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.
