Sustainability Consultant BREEAM

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Sustainability Consultant to join our growing consultancy team in Bristol. You will deliver BREEAM and other sustainability assessments across a varied portfolio of commercial, education, public, residential and master‑planning projects, helping clients achieve their environmental targets.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver sustainability assessment frameworks such as BREEAM, WELL, NABERS and Ska from pre‑assessment through to certification.
• Prepare and present sustainability statements, planning reports and environmental strategies.
• Manage and review project evidence for sustainability certifications.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors and other stakeholders to embed sustainability into design.
• Attend client meetings, workshops and design team discussions.
• Produce detailed technical reports and client‑facing documentation.
• Undertake whole‑life carbon assessments and support Net‑Zero carbon strategies.
• Stay up‑to‑date with legislation, policy changes and best practices.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in sustainability consulting or related fields.
• Strong understanding of sustainability legislation and certification schemes.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical information clearly.
• Proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous professional development.
