Swim School Teacher (NQT) – Kempston

About the role

GLL is seeking enthusiastic Swim School Teachers to join the team at Kempston Pool & Fitness. This role offers the chance to deliver safe, high‑quality swimming lessons to a range of pupils, from children to adults, while building confidence and lifelong water skills.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming, professional poolside service and maintain a positive image of the centre.
• Deliver group and one‑to‑one swimming lessons in line with the product manual and safety standards.
• Ensure pupil safety, enforce relevant regulations, and follow safeguarding and child protection policies.
• Encourage enrolment in further courses and assist with new‑enrolments and re‑enrolments.
• Record and complete awards, ensuring pupils achieve the required levels.

Required profile

• Hold an STA Award or Certificate level, or be Swim England Level 2 qualified.
• Ideally possess the National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers & Coaches.
• Good knowledge of health, safety legislation and child protection policies.
• Approachable, patient and able to motivate pupils of all ages.
