Swimming Teacher – Chipping Norton

About the role

GLL is seeking enthusiastic Swimming Teachers to join its Chipping Norton centre. You will deliver safe, consistent swimming lessons to pupils of all ages, helping them build confidence and competence in the water.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming, professional poolside service and maintain a positive centre image.
• Ensure pupil safety and enforce all relevant health, safety and swimming‑centre regulations.
• Deliver group and one‑to‑one lessons in line with the product manual and teaching standards.
• Encourage enrolment on further courses and assist with new‑enrolments and re‑enrolments.
• Record and achieve relevant awards and qualifications for pupils.
• Follow safeguarding, child protection and behaviour policies.

Required profile

• STA Award or Certificate level, or Swim England Level 2 qualification.
• Ideally hold the National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers & Coaches.
• Good knowledge of health, safety legislation and child protection policy.
• Approachable, patient and able to build trust with pupils.
