Syndicate Financial Controller

About the role
The Syndicate Financial Controller will lead the reporting function for a leading London market insurer, overseeing regulatory and management reporting across the syndicate.
Key responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the syndicate's reporting and accounting.
- Review and recommend submission of Lloyd's quarterly and annual regulatory returns.
- Oversee the quarterly close process and associated reporting requirements.
- Develop reporting systems and processes to meet evolving business demands.
- Prepare committee financial reports.
- Produce timely, insightful financial management information for senior management and the Board.
- Manage the external audit timetable and coordinate audit activities across departments.
Required profile
- Previous experience with Syndicate/Lloyd's reporting.
- ACA or CA qualification with a minimum of five years post‑qualification experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Experience working for a London market insurer.
