System Administrator Internship

About the role

Join HP Wolf Security as a System Administrator Intern for a 12‑month placement. You will work directly with engineering teams to support and improve the infrastructure behind our endpoint security products, gaining hands‑on experience in Windows administration, automation, and DevOps practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and PowerShell.
• Configure, maintain, and optimise Windows‑based engineering infrastructure.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain development, test, and build environments.
• Contribute to projects that improve reliability, scalability, and security of infrastructure.
• Investigate and resolve infrastructure issues in collaboration with software engineers and DevOps teams.
• Support identity and access management, endpoint administration, and system monitoring tooling.
• Document processes and help define operational best practices.

Required profile

• 2nd year, final year or master’s student in Computer Science, Cyber Security, IT, Engineering or related STEM field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Interest in infrastructure automation, systems engineering and cyber security.

Required skills

• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory)
• Git or other version‑control systems
