System Integration and Test Engineer

About the role

The System Integration and Test Engineer will join a leading Defence and Aerospace contractor to design, execute and document system integration and verification activities. Based in Ampthill, you will work on complex, multi‑discipline projects and support trial deployments across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans, cases, procedures and reports for system integration and verification.
• Execute test campaigns, validate data and ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.
• Author, review and sign off all test documentation and provide clear status updates to stakeholders.
• Plan and conduct Test Readiness Reviews and coordinate with contracted test facilities.
• Integrate automated test scripts into the broader tool ecosystem and support equipment transport to trial sites.

Required profile

• Proven experience creating test plans, cases and reports for system integration/verification.
• Hands‑on experience in qualification or verification trials, preferably within the UK Defence sector.
• Ability to investigate, document and report faults or anomalies in complex systems.
• Familiarity with vehicle system integration and large‑scale system‑of‑systems environments.
