System Support Engineer (German Speaker)

About the role

Ubisense is seeking a System Support Engineer who will provide front‑line technical support for its real‑time location and smart‑factory solutions. The role involves incident management, software maintenance coordination and proactive system monitoring for customer installations across Europe and the US.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver expert support for Ubisense hardware, software and RTLS systems to internal and external customers.
• Participate in an on‑call rota covering Europe and the United States.
• Plan, install and maintain SmartSpace instances both on‑premise and in the cloud.
• Troubleshoot and analyse problem reports, create reproducible issue reports for 3rd‑level support.
• Act as primary responder for incidents, provide remote diagnostics to restore production quickly.
• Log all incidents in detail using Ubisense ticketing systems.
• Assist customers with configuration changes, software updates and regular system maintenance.
• Inspect log files and trace data for early detection of potential issues.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Willingness to work on‑call shifts covering European and US time zones.
• Ability to interpret trace files, databases and event logs.
• Fluent German speaker (as indicated by the title).
