Systems Administrator – IT Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Systems Administrator to join the IT team of the Municipal Group of Companies in Bedford, NS. The role supports both on‑premise and cloud environments, ensuring that all users can perform critical business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, maintain and support network infrastructure.
• Manage virtual and on‑premise servers, file shares, and business‑critical applications.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure Entra ID and Active Directory, including domain controllers and sync clients.
• Oversee SQL Server databases and related services.
• Provide support for virtual desktops, access‑control and phone management systems.
• Maintain Cisco networking components and ensure reliable connectivity.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Windows computers, Microsoft applications and Apple iOS.
• Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory and the Azure portal.
• Comfortable working in Microsoft 365 and Intune (MDM) environments.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking and communication skills.
• High attention to detail, professionalism and ability to work onsite Monday‑Friday.
• Willingness to travel lightly as needed.
