Systems Engineer – Defence Projects

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Systems Engineer to join our innovative team supporting mission‑critical MOD projects for UK National Security. The role offers hands‑on experience with advanced technology, system infrastructures and the opportunity to work on highly dynamic defence initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software faults to minimise downtime.
• Oversee inventory, track equipment and manage logistics for system components.
• Assist in build processes, configuration management and quality control for manufacturing support.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on system integration, testing and deployment.
• Develop and maintain documentation on processes, configurations and troubleshooting procedures.
• Support routine maintenance, upgrades and performance monitoring.
• Uphold safety guidelines and organisational standards during technical operations.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent experience in Systems Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related fields.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software faults.
• Experience in inventory or stores processing and equipment tracking.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical documentation and reporting.
