Systems Engineer – Hybrid – £75-85k

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Systems Engineer to join a leading technology consultancy delivering complex engineering and cyber programmes for national security. Working in a hybrid model from North Bristol, you will contribute to highly secure, mission‑critical projects and gain exposure to senior technical leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Systems Engineering activities across the full lifecycle, from requirements capture to verification and validation.
• Analyse and manage customer and stakeholder requirements, ensuring traceability.
• Produce system models, technical specifications and detailed design documentation.
• Support integration, verification and validation activities alongside architects and delivery teams.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, architects and technical delivery teams to ensure successful programme delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience gathering and managing technical requirements.
• Eligibility for the highest levels of UK Security Clearance (or current clearance).
• Background in defence, national security or secure systems design is advantageous.
• Experience working in an agile, consultancy‑focused environment.

Required skills

• Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• UML, SysML or ArchiMate modelling languages
• DOORS or similar requirements‑management tools
