Systems Engineer I – Cloud Infrastructure & Automation

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and improve reliability, availability, and performance of production systems on AWS.
• Respond to incidents, drive root‑cause analysis and post‑mortems.
• Build and maintain automation for deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management (Infrastructure as Code).
• Collaborate with development teams to improve observability (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting).
• Contribute to capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost‑optimization efforts.
• Write and maintain runbooks, documentation, and operational procedures.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and help improve deployment safety and velocity.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in Systems Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or a similar role.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (Python, Go, Bash, etc.).
• Understanding of monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Experience with configuration‑management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Exposure to SLO/SLI/error‑budget frameworks.
